Hi! It's me! Wellington!

I thought it might be important to get my own web page, because I realize I have lots of fans and friends out there all over the world who aren't lucky enough to see me all the time... so I thought it would be nice of me to share myself with them through the internet.

Like this picture of me outside of Windsor Castle in London. I was traveling with my buddy Steve, who had some stupid job interview to go to over there. Since I'd been to three continents already, I figured I'd better get over to Europe, since there are people there who haven't met me yet...

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me tell you

The Biography of Wellington

My full name is Wellington Hobart the First... but you can call me Wellington. Aunt Patty and Aunt Annie call me Welly, but I think that's kind of for little bears. I don't say anything about it though, because I think it would hurt their feelings. They're always so nice to me.

Anyway. I came to life when my buddy Steve found me in Tasmania. He was doing some kind of crazy 'round the world trip or something. I'm glad he did, because I was really getting tired of sitting on the shelf in that stupid teddy bear factory with all those other bears and their silly little problems. Whew. It was exhausting!

And let me tell ya, Tasmania is about as far from the action as you can get... go look at it on a map sometime! But now I'm here in the good old USA.

Me on a road trip with Steve

Steve doesn't like me to drive his Jeep

Steve was looking for a present for his friend Paula. Paula thinks I belong to her, but really I just let her think that. She's nice to have around because she likes to travel a lot, and its a good way for me to travel around and get to places and meet new fans. She flies first class a lot, which is fine by me. Anyway, I saw Steve the minute he walked in the door, and he eyed me and picked me up. I know he was looking for just the right bear for Paula, so he carried me around for the next half hour while he looked at all the other goofy bears on the shelves. Geez! Duh! Of course I was the right one! I mean hey, come on! Just look at me! Steve can be a little, shall we say, "thick-headed" some times. Anyway! He bought me and took me home and introduced me to Paula.

I live with Paula in Denver, in a trailer park. Well, it's not really a trailer park, but it kind of reminds me of a trailer park, because all the houses look the same. Actually, I think trailer parks have a little bit more diversity. Anyway! I call Paula "Mom", but only because she kind of likes that and I like to make her feel good. Paula buys me lots of new outfits, and takes me on trips to meet new people and do a lot of cool things. I've been to 5 continents now, and the only one I haven't been to is Africa. Mom went to South Africa and didn't take me with her. Boy, that's the last time that'll happen, I tell ya! I had to stay home and visit Steve. He's kind of nice, but boring. He got all upset one day when mom was in South Africa because I wanted to help some guys with the construction out on the street in the trailer park. I was holding a sign and had on my little orange vest and a hardhat, and I fell under the steamroller. But Steve used kerosene to clean the tar off me, and it wasn't so bad. Mom never found out about it, so don't tell her, ok?

Anyway! After she took that trip, I gave her a good talking to... and she's never gone on another trip without me! She takes me on all her business trips, and I've been all over the United States. That's quite an accomplishment for a Tasmanian Bear, I tell ya! And my buddy Steve took me to London. That's a picture of me in London, with Big Ben in the back. Steve also took me on a road trip throughout the southwest, Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico. And I've been to India! And Argentina! And a whole bunch more places! I'm so lucky to have Paula, even though she can be kind of a pain with all the hugging and smooching and stuff. But at least she takes her lipstick off when she kisses me, so I don't mind so much.

Anyway! Enough about me. What about you? What do you think about Me? Come look at all my pictures and see what you think!

Lets go look at my pictures!
